Instructions
For a successful submission of scholarship applications, it is essential to avoid mistakes and increase the chances of getting the grant approval. Following instructions must be kept in mind before submitting an online application for scholarships.
- Photograph of the applicant is mandatory for the completion of profile at digital Gujarat portal
- Applications must be complete in all respects to avoid rejection
- The requirement of soft copies of documents must be strictly followed
- Any wrong information which came in notice at any stage will lead to rejection of application
- Scanning of documents must be carefully done as per instructions provided at portal
- The application cannot be edited once submitted
- Oversized documents cannot be uploaded
- Unclear documents may lead to rejection of application
- Only online application will be entertained, no manual submitting is permitted
6-Steps for Registration and Application Process
It is essential to understand the entire procedure to avoid any mistakes. The step-by-step process is explained below. By following this guide, you will be able to successfully register yourself online on the Digital Gujarat Scholarship Portal.
- Step 1: Search the scholarship that you want to avail.
- Step 2: Ensure that you qualify the eligibility criteria.
- Step 3: Register online at Digital Gujarat Portal.
- Enter the required details such as mobile number, email address, and password
- Step 4: Login using your email/mobile number and password
- Click “My Profile” and enter mandatory information as required
- Upload your picture and click “Update Profile”
- An OTP will be sent to you. Enter OTP and continue.
- Click “Service tab” then select “Scholarship Services”
- select your desired scheme and select the financial year for which you are applying. click “Change Financial Year”
- Select the scholarship and follow the instructions
- Step 5: Enter your information in the form and upload the required documents (according to the specifications)
- Now click “Save as Draft”
- Click on the check mark “I agree with the terms and conditions of this scholarship”
- Step 6: Submit your application and check its status.
Open your web browser and go to the official Digital Gujarat Portal
Click on “Register or Login”
Find the “Register or Login” button on the home page; in the top-right corner. Click on “Register or Login” to start creating a new account.
For Registration, select “New Registration (Citizen)” on the left side of the window.
Fill in Your Details for New Registration
You’ll be prompted to provide your personal information, including your Mobile Number, email address, create & confirm password and enter captcha. Ensure all information is accurate. As OTP will be sent to your email or mobile.
After filling out the form, click on “Submit.” You will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to verify your registration.
Complete Your Profile
Once your account is created log in to the Digital Gujarat Portal using your credentials and complete your profile by providing additional details, such as your address and identification documents.
Fill in Your Details for login
For those who are already registered click on “Registered User” and Login using “email ID or mobile No.” and fill out your username, password, and captcha” to access Digital Gujarat Portal services including Digital Gujarat Scholarship.
Last Date of Digital Gujarat Scholarship
The Digital Gujarat portal provides details about starting and ending dates against each Digital Gujarat Scholarship. While applying for particular scholarship.
- Pre-matric scholarships start from June and end in August each year
- Post-matric scholarships start from August and end in October each year (Re-open for remaining students w.e.f. 11-11-2024 to 20-12-2024)
- All other Digital Gujarat Scholarships start from June and end in August each year.
The dates may change at any time, so please confirm the dates on the Digital Gujarat Port at the time of application submission on the portal.
Status of Your Scholarship Application
You can track your application status online, by simply following these steps.
- Step 1: Visit Digital Gujarat Portal
- Step 2: Click on Login button and provide username, password and captcha
- Step 3: After login, click Scholarship button
- Step 4: In Service Request Section, under the status tag, your application status will be displayed.
- Your application status will be one of following
- Received by the Principal of the institution (That means the online application is submitted by the Principal)
- Blank/no status (That means your application is in progress)
- Application pending at office level
- Querry by the authority (Some clarification or document required by the authority so upload the information as desired)
- Reject: Application close/cancel by citizen
- Approved by the Authority
- Your application status will be one of following
Mode of Payment
The payment will be made into the student’s bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) as prescribed by the Government of India. In case of non-receipt, of payment, check the status of your application as discussed above and take appropriate action.
However, if your application has already been approved, it takes around one month to disburse the scholarship amount. If your scholarship has a state government share, then it will be disbursed in two installments.
Try to maintain your account as per bank guidelines, in case of no transaction for a long time it may get suspended/temporarily closed/dormant, in this case, you have to request the bank to reopen your existing account so that you can get your scholarship payment.
