Eligibility Criteria for Financial Assistance to SC Bright Students
- Scheduled Caste students
- Should be studying in selected schools in standard 6, 8/9 or 11

- The family income should not be more than then times the income fixed for the poverty line. (For urban and rural area 600,000/-)
Can be benefited once only
Those who are studying in standard 9 or 11 in selected schools will be eligible for this assistance once only.
- The students of standard 6 can also avail this assistance, if they got admission in Balachadi School-Jamnagar, Sainik School-Kherva
- Scheduled caste students will be eligible for one time assistance every year after entering 6th class for Sainik School and Balachadi and 8th & 11th class for other schools
Can not claim other Scholarships
Those who benefited from this ‘financial assistance to SC bright students’ will not be eligible for any other scholarships sanctioned by the Education Department
Details: Financial Assistance to SC Brights Students
The financial assistance to bright SC students will be up to ₹ 50000/ per student/ per Annum or actual cost that includes:
1. Hostel fee
2. Food cost
3. Books
4. Uniform and all other incidental expenses
5. Extra training will be provided to 6th standard, SC students (Balachadi school-Jamnagar, Sainik school-Kherva).

Implementing Office
The ‘financial assistance to SC bright students’ is managed by the District Deputy Director of Schedule Caste Welfare, Government of Gujarat.

Mode of Payment
The scholarship amount will be deposited into the student’s bank account through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) as prescribed by the Government of India. A Computerized management system for scholarships, including e-payment system will be implemented by the administration.
