Free Tablets for Class 12 SC Students
Free Tablet for class 12 SC students, who secured at least 70% marks in the board examination in all streams and are admitted to the recognized university in Gujarat for graduation studies.
This “Free Tablets” scheme is introduced to familiarize students with the latest technologies. This article discusses eligibility criteria, token money, document requirements, application procedure, reimbursement of token money, etc.
Eligibility Criteria | Free Tablets for Class 12 SC Students
The following criteria are required to avail the free tablets for class 12 SC students:
- Students admitted to graduation and belonged to the Scheduled Caste community.
- Students secured 70% or more marks in the 12th class final board exam.
- Students should have received a tablet with a token fee of ₹ 1000 from the education department.
- There is no income limit.
Amount of Assistance
The following amount of assistance will be paid to students who paid token money for receiving of free tablet from education department:

Documents Requirements
To fill out the form for Free tablets for class 12 SC students, the following documents should be ready:
- Caste certificate
- Canceled cheque book/1st page of bank passbook
- Mark sheet of 12th standard
- College I.D card
- Token money receipt of ₹1000
Students must collect the following information from the college before filling out the form. The information/list is compiled by the college with the heading “Tab for the student who is taking admission in the first year of college”:
- Tablet enrollment number
- Name of student
- Application date
- Address
- Seat No.
- Category (SC/ST/SEBC, etc.)
- Course
- Board
- Passing year
- Application locked date
- Details of fee payment in college
- Date of commencement/completion of the course from college
Application Process
The application along with documents will be submitted to the principal of the college. Principals of every school/college who received applications from students will submit online proposals on the Digital Gujarat Portal for free tablets to SC students.
In case the administration asks you to fill out the form online at the portal, then you have to register and login to Digital Gujarat Scholarship Login, the complete procedure of registration and form filling is explained on above mentioned page.
After adapting the procedure of registration and login, you have to navigate to the “services” tab. you will find various services offered to Gujarati citizens, you have to select “scholarship services”. Here you will find SC, ST, SEBC/EBC/NTDNT, Higher education, social defence, and other Schemes. You have to select your category SC/ST/SEBC/EBC/NTDNT. According to your category, you will find the “Tablet Assistance scheme” as shown below, the SC students will find BCK-353/Tablet assistance to SC students.
Eligible students must complete the application forms after selecting the Tablets scheme. The system will prompt them to upload the required documents as soft copies in a readable format, according to the specified file format and size requirements.
Mode of Reimbursement of Token Money
The amount paid as token money by the student to receive a tablet from the education department will be reimbursed to the student’s bank account through DBT.
