Free Hostel Accommodation |Mama Saheb Phadke Scheme

The free hostel accommodation facility including food and study facilities to bright scheduled caste students who get admission in 9 to 12 classes.

The free hostel accommodation facility for scheduled caste students was launched to provide free accommodation with food and study facilities to bright students belonging to the scheduled caste community. So that students can focus on their studies without worries.

Eligibility Criteria | Free Hostel Accommodation

To get free hostel accommodation with food and study facilities under Mama Saheb Phadke Ideal Residential School Scheme. The following criteria is set to provide the facilities to bright students belonging to scheduled caste communities.

  • Secured 50% in 8th class
  • Studying in 9 to 12 class
  • No income limit

Document Requirements

The following documents are required with the application:

  • Passport size photograph (softcopy)
  • Caste Certificate from competent authority
  • Income Certificate from the competent authority (Form No. 16 is required for Govt. employees)
  • Cancelled cheque book leaf /First page of Bank Passbook
  • 8th class mark sheets
  • School leaving certificate (If any)
  • Proof of Residency
  • Fee receipt (If any)
  • Hostel certificate (If any)
  • Break Affidavit (If any)
  • Disability certificate (If any)
  • Leave without pay certificate (For employee’s students only) (If applicable)
  • Death certificate of father (If applicable)
  • Other marksheet (If any)
  • Identity card (College/School)

Application Process

The application for hostel accommodation, food, and study facilities will be submitted to the principal of the school/college along with all required documents as discussed above.
The principal of the school will have to submit the proposal of all applications regarding this scheme online at Digital Gujarat Portal.

Implementing Office

The accommodation for scheduled caste students from grades 9 to 12 is administered by the District Deputy Director (Schedule Caste Welfare) of the concerned district for urban areas and the Social Welfare Officer (Panchayat) for rural areas, under the Government of Gujarat.
