Stipends for ITI and other professional courses (Swami Vivekanand Scholarship) (BCK-13) are the most demanding scholarships among scheduled caste students.
The scheme majorly focuses on students studying in State Government Industrial Training Institutes and subsidized (Government) Private Industrial Training Institutes or grant-in-aid Industrial Training Centers (ITCs).

The objective of Stipends for ITI
This Swami Vivekanand Scholarship is designed to increase the performance of the scheduled castes by providing technical/vocational training to the post-matric students at Industrial Training Institutes.
To increase enrollment the government is providing monthly stipends to encourage scheduled caste students to take an interest in the training.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for “scholarships for ITI and other professional courses” are as under:
- Permanent resident of Gujarat, India
- Students belong to scheduled caste community
- Studying in ITI or other professional courses
- Family income limit from all resources should not exceed 6.0 lakh
Application Process
The application process is simple and easy, students have to apply only through the government portal. The steps and instructions are explained at Digital Gujarat Scholarship Login.
After the successful registration and mobile verification at the portal, students can login to the portal, under the services tab select ‘scholarship services’.
Various scholarship options will be displayed such as SC, ST, SEBC/EBC/NTDNT, Higher Education, Social Defence, Labour, Skill Development & Employment Department, etc.
Select the Scheduled Caste (SC) Category and navigate to the BCK-13 (Scholarship/Stipend to SC Students for ITI/Professional Courses) option for scholarship.
Fill out the following forms and attach the required documents in soft format:
- Registration Detail
- First Name of student as per mark sheets
- Middle Name of student
- Surname/Caste/Last name of student
- DOB (Date of Birth)
- Gender
- Aadhaar No.
- Enter the Ration card number
- Ration card member number
- Verify Aadhaar KYC status (If not OK, then initiate the process with the help of My Ration app)
- Provide Mother’s name
- Select community/Category from menu
- Select Caste
- Select Religion
- Select marital status
- Select Parent/Guardian occupation
- Enter family income
- Orphan (Yes/No)
- Enter mobile number
- Enter email I.D.
- Select Day Scholar/Hosteler
- Select Hostel type
- Select Habitation type
- Select Household category
- Enter the permanent and current address (Hostellers should mention hostel address as current address)
- Bank Details
- Enter your Aadhaar card number and check the status of the Bank & Aadhaar link
- Enter the IFSC Code from your Bank passbook
- Enter your bank account number
- Enter your name as per bank passbook
- Academic Details
- Provide present course details
- Enter your education details from standard 10 and onwards
- Enter fee deposit details (Admission, Tuition, Misc., non-refundable and Exam fee)
- Disability Detail
- Provide disability details such as area of disability and percentage of disability (If applicable)
- Attachment (Document)
- Caste Certificate
- Income Certificate (Form No. 16, if Govt. emplyee)
- Cancelled cheque or 1st page of bank passbook
- 10th class mark sheet
- 12th class mark sheet (If any)
- Fee deposit receipts of current course (If any)
- Gap affidavit (If applicable)
- Disability certificate (If applicable)
- Leave without pay certificate (If applicable)
- Death certificate of father (If applicable)
- Marriage certificate (If any)
- Other mark sheets (If any)
- ITI/institution student card
- Passport size photo
The information against each document such as certificate number, seat number, receipt number, affidavit number, card number, account number, etc. should be entered before uploading the documents.
Scholarship Amount
The following scholarship benefits can be availed by successful students:

Mode of Payment
The stipend/scholarship amount will be deposited into the student’s bank account through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) as per guidelines by the Government of India.
For this purpose, students have to link their Aadhaar card with bank details in the portal while filling out the form for the scholarship.
Implementing Office
The Stipends/scholarships under the Digital Gujarat Scholarship are managed by the District Deputy Director, Scheduled Caste Welfare, Government of Gujarat
