The Aditya Birla Scholarship, offered by the renowned Aditya Birla Group, is designed to support meritorious students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in fields such as management, engineering, or law. The top 20 students, selected based on their performance in the entry exam conducted by partner institutions, are eligible to apply.
The rigorous selection process evaluates candidates on their academic achievements, co-curricular involvement, written assessments, and personal interviews. The scholarship is awarded to the most outstanding students who are then honored with the title of Aditya Birla Scholar, proudly carrying the legacy of this prestigious program.
Meritorious scholars can get up to INR 300,000 per annum, and the scholarship can be availed for the entire duration of the course, subject to maintaining performance as per the Aditya Birla Group’s guidelines.

Aditya Birla Scholarship Amount
This scholarship covers a major portion of the tuition and hostel fees for engineering students. However, management and law students can avail of partial tuition fee support through this scholarship program.

Application Procedure
As per the eligibility criteria, the top 20 meritorious students will submit their application forms and required documents to the college/institution administration. These scholarship applications, duly reviewed by the Dean/Director, will then be forwarded by each institution to the Aditya Birla Group for further processing.
The application forms can be downloaded from the official website or collected from the Dean/Director’s office of the respective college/institution.
Selection Procedure | Academic & Co-curricular
The first step will involve reviewing scholarship applications from management, engineering, and law streams.
Around 180 applications from the management field, 160 candidates from engineering institutions, and 100 scholarship forms from law colleges will be selected based on the information provided by the students and verified by the respective institution.
The top performers in academic and co-curricular activities will be shortlisted for the next assessment.
Selection Procedure | Written Evaluation
The qualified candidates will further be assessed on their essay writing skill by the selected panel, and those who succeed will be called for an interview.

In the final selection round, the candidates will be evaluated in an interview session before a panel comprising experts as per their field of study, as well as management and psychological professionals to identify the most talented students.
Original documents including certificates, and academic qualifications, will be verified. Around 16 of the most talented applicants from management, engineering, and law institutions will be selected and recognized as Aditya Birla Scholars for the duration of their studies.
Traveling Expenses for Interview
The final interview session, as above mentioned, will be held in Mumbai. Candidates who are called to attend will receive travel expenses, a daily allowance, and free accommodation for the duration of the interview.
Renewal of Scholarship
The Aditya Birla Scholarship is renewed annually until the completion of the course. Each scholar’s performance is monitored by the institution and assessed before the scholarship is renewed.
Assessment for Renewal
Each scholar’s quality work and the percentage of completed tasks will be assessed to determine the continuation of the scholarship disbursement.
- The assignments submitted by the student will be reviewed and at least 60% of them should receive a rating of 7 out of 9.
- A write up of at least 250 words, from the scholar, sharing their experience as an Aditya Birla Scholar, will also be evaluated.
- The scholar should have participated in at least two the forums on campus.
The scholar’s performance in various areas will be assessed by the Dean of the institute. The performance should be satisfactory in all aspects for the scholarship to be renewed.
Scholarship Form
The scholarship form typically comprises of the following sections:
a) Personal Information: The applicant is required to provide personal data such as name, father’s name, religion, address, bank details etc.
b) Academic Records: This section will ask for details of qualifications, entrance test performance (For example, JEE, CAT, or CLAT), and the 1st-semester performance in the current course of study.
c) Leadership experience: This section focuses on Participation in co-curricular activities, including leadership roles in various forums, community involvement, and any other student organizations.
Mode of Payment
The scholarship amount for qualified students will be disbursed to their respective institution’s bank account. For renewal cases, funds for the next year will be transferred after evaluating the scholars’ academic performance and co-curricular enrolments.
The college/institute administration will then transfer the scholarship amount to the scholars.
Refund of Paid Fees
The institute will refund the fees paid prior to the selection of scholar for the Aditya Birla Scholarship
