For the academic year 2025–26, Mizoram will conduct the NMMS examination for Class VIII students in Government, Government-Aided, and Local Body Schools (excluding EMRS & JNV students). NMMS for Mizoram Students 2025–26 Exam Date
The official exam date for Mizoram NMMS 2025 has been announced:

Mizoram’s NMMS 2025–26 Application Form (Expected Schedule)
Last year’s form schedule:
- Forms Available: From 10 January 2024
- Last Date to Submit Form: 18 January 2024
- Admit Card Distribution: At the center before exam day
Expected Schedule for 2025–26:
- Form Availability: 1st–2nd week of January 2026
- Last Date to Apply: Mid-January 2026
- Admit Card: Collect from exam center 5–7 days before exam

Scholarship Amount
Under NMMS, selected students receive:
- ₹1,000 per month (₹12,000 per year) for 4 years
- Classes 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th
Scholarship is credited directly to the student’s bank account through DBT.

Eligibility Criteria for Mizoram’s NMMS 2025–26
1. Academic Eligibility
- Must be studying in Class 8 in a Government, Govt.-aided or Local Body school.
- Must have at least 50% marks in Class 7 final exams.
2. Income Limit
Parental annual income must NOT exceed ₹3,50,000 from all sources.
3. Not Eligible
- The following students cannot apply:
- Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya
- Students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya
- Students of Private schools
- Students studying in Residential Govt./State-run fully funded boarding schools
Exam Pattern (MAT + SAT)
NMMS Mizoram exam is conducted in two parts (Mental Ability Test & Scholastic Aptitude Test) on the same day:

Follow this simple guide to correctly fill the NMMS Mizoram form:
Step 1: Get the Form
- Forms are normally available at:
- DIET of your district (e.g., DIET Serchhip)
- Mizoram Scholarship Board website
- School administration
Step 2: Fill Personal Details
- Fill in the fields carefully:
- Student Name (exactly as per school records)
- Father’s / Mother’s Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Complete Postal Address with PIN Code

After Selection: What Students Must Do
